July 2018 Wrap-Up

A few days ago my computer told me it was August and I, having been living in a blanket fort, was all:

Seriously. I know I’m not the only one to complain about this but, WHERE THE HELL DID THE TIME GO?!?!?!?!? SOMEONE DEFINITELY ATE IT THIS TIME! SPIT IT OUT CAROL! SAVE SOME FOR THE REST OF US!!!

My reading hasn’t been overly productive this month, but I did read. Like three books. Three good books, might I add.

I feel like I haven’t really done much of anything this month??? But I must’ve been doing something??? Maybe I was breathing? Maybe I wasn’t? Who knows?

Any whooo, let’s see how my month has been!

Books I’ve Read:

Made You Up by Francesca Zappia: I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I love Zappia’s writing and will buy what ever she writes. I gave this book a 4.5 out of 5 stars!

Letters to the Lost by Brigid Kemmerer: I really loved this book. A lot. I originally gave the book a 3.5 out of 5 stars but thinking back on it, I think it’s more of a 5 star read. I already want to re-read it. Read My Full Review!

The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater: Yes. You are seeing this correctly I finally dived into Stiefvater land!! Words can only barely express how much I loved this book. This makes me excited about reading more of Stiefvater’s books! I gave this book a 5 out of 5 stars! Read My Full Review!

Currently Reading:

I’ve literally only just started it though. So, I can’t say if I’m enjoying it or not. But the synopsis sounds pretty good and I have yet to rise out of the contemporary trench I seem to have fallen in. I also really enjoyed a previous book by this author. So it should be great. I’m hella excited.

GoodReads Challenge:

Why am I always 6 books behind?? I swear, every time I look it’s six books?? Is this voodoo? Or witchcraft maybe??? Or just my slow reading? I hope it’s witchcraft. That would be so exciting.

Books I Have Hoarded Into My Collection:

So, this section may not be in every wrap-up because… books are expensive. But it was my birthday and I got Amazon gift cards (my family is too kind to me I swear) aaaaaaaaand I spent them on books. ‘Cause why not. It’s my birthday.

So here are the books I bought (Clicking on the covers will take you to the Goodreads pages! Note: The Brink of Darkness is a sequel, so the link takes you to the first book in the series to avoid any spoilers 😀 ):

How has your month been? What was your favourite books of July? Have you read any of the books that I have now added to my treasure hoard??

  1. I read a few pretty good books in July. Maybe there was a tie between Caraval, Throne of Glass, and Red Queen.

I probably bought as many books last month (okay, if you count the day before yesterday) as I read, or at least close to it. I got some Amazon cards for my birthday in June, and that didn’t last long, LOL. But I did get some amazing books for only $1.99 and $2.99 last month. Two days ago I got A Thousand Perfect Notes for only $.99! I guess it pays to pay attention to Twitter… or maybe not… I’ll die of a thousand $1.99 books.

    1. I have a feeling that this year has probably been one of the best reading years?? I am finding so many good books this year! And not all of them are even new releases!!

Amazon cards are literally one of the best things to ever be receive by anyone, ever. Because you can buy loads of books… but you don’t have to pay for them. ‘Cause someone else pays for them all in advance XD
Er Ma Gerd! Were these books on all on Amazon?? Those prices are insane! *gasp* ATPN FOR $.99!!!!!!! WHAAAAaT! I need to spend more time on twitter XD
I too have a weakness for incredibly cheap books, we can both die together in our bargain hunting ways. *arms outstretched to the sky as a billion paperbacks fall in slow mo towards my face*

    1. Thank You! :3 I really enjoyed Made You Up, I have actually really enjoyed and loved all of Zappia’s books so far (there are only two though ; _ ; ) I hope you enjoy it when you do read it!!!
