As we all know too well, Autumn can either be “the cosiest time of aaaaaaall” to people, or “it’s cold and wet and I am not thriving!”
Regardless of how we feel about Autumn’s weather, I think we can all agree that the colour scheme and our plans to cuddle up with a hot, steaming drink and a good book are some of Autumns’ best qualities.
For today’s Top Ten Tuesday, the prompt is “Books that give off Autumn vibes!”
Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl!
I was going to do a list of recommendations of books set during/or just simply involving Autumn, but looking at my shelves, I only found 2…. I feel like I’ve committed a crime since Autumn is one of my favourite seasons…. You’d think I’d have hoarded and read all the Autumn books by now…
So, instead! I’ll recommend the 2 to you, because I loved them! And then I thought it would be fun to make an Autumn coloured book cover collage!
All covers link to Goodreads so you guys can check out these books too!! Any sequels will instead have the link to the first book to avoid spoilers!
Books Featuring Autumn
Autumn COLOURS REEEEEEEE!
This is literally just a list of orange coloured books… BUT AREN’T THEY PRETTY?!?
Also, I may have added Call Down the Hawk to this list for more than just it’s cover.
Do you see how well I snuck that in? I’m very sneaky. You didn’t see it coming, did you?
BECAUSE TODAY (THIS VERY TUESDAY) IS RELEASE DAY! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
I’m so ready to jump back into Stiefvater’s beautiful world of magic and Raven Boys. And Magical Raven Boys…
That’s right. This whole post was an excuse for me to freak out about soon having that book in my hands!
No but seriously. I urgently need that book in my life.
How do you feel about Autumn?? Have you read many books with an Autumn theme, or just generally set in Autumn?? If so, PLEASE RECOMMEND SOME TO ME! I’M BEGGING YOU!
Are you super excited for Call Down the Hawk too? Further more… HAVE YOU READ THE RAVEN CYCLE BY MAGGIE STIEFVATER??
If you haven’t Maggie Stiefvater said on Twitter that you don’t have to have read The Raven Cycle to read Call Down the Hawk. But I highly recommend The Raven Cycle if you want to read it!
Feel free to link your TTT posts in the comments!
Great post!
Now that I think of it, I can’t think of any books that I’ve read that are Autumn Themed related. I like Autumn, and then on the other hand not so much because of the cold, LoL.
I haven’t read any of the books you mentioned, I’ll have to check them out the next time I’m at the bookstore.

Thank you! ❤
Right? I was a little taken back because when I saw the topic I was all "Sounds easy enough!" … it was not easy enough. Where are all the Autumn books?? Who's hiding them from us??
I know what you mean, I usually don't mind the cold much. But last night was so cold I had to throw like 3 blankets on top of my "winter" duvet because it was so cold. XD
I hope you enjoy them if you do read them!! ❤

Something about the Autumn vibes just makes me want to read a whole bunch, which you would think is great for my tbr. But no. No it is not. The TBR also grows stronger during these times because I keep buying books that look cosy! T o T

Orange is one of my favorite colors, so I’m happy to see a list of orange books. I recently got a copy of The Scorpio Races. I’m excited to find out what all the hype is about.

The Scorpio Races made my list as well! And yes, I’m still (not-so) patiently waiting for my copy of Call Down the Hawk. Between me and my daughter we ordered 3 copies! 🙂 Of course, hers arrived the day before release day. Can’t wait to read it!

YEEES! Oh my gosh! That’s a lot of copies! XD But I don’t blame you or your daughter one bit! I was very close to ordering both the hardcover and the paperback and then I stared longingly at the US cover….. oh no
😮 So Lucky! Mine came the day after release day, which is still good! But on release day my face was practically squashed against the window waiting for the postman! XD
I hope you and your daughter love it!! Happy Reading! ❤

I agree! Autumn colours are so captivating to look at on their own, but on the front cover of a book? When I always tend to stare at books whenever I see one anyway? Absolutely beautiful!

Circe is such a beautiful book to look at. The only problem is that I keep only looking at it and haven’t actually read it yet! XD

I know right?! I feel like I’ve been under appreciating orange/brown covers? They’re beautiful! I haven’t read all of these, but the ones I have (An Enchantment of Ravens, Scorpio Races, Under the Never Sky…) were great books!

Thank you! ❤ Right??? I love Autumn and Winter, but something about the colours of Autumn is just so cozy? And it makes me want to read soft and squishy books that will most likely make me cry XD

I have mixed feelings about autumn. You summed up the various ways it can be interpreted quite well.

It’s easy to see how the cold weather and constant rain wouldn’t be everyone’s favourite! I find it to be perfect reading weather and so I love it! XD It’s a different story during Summer though T . T

Thank you!! Me too! I definitely need to re-read them both! Especially Under the Never Sky, because it’s been so long since I read the first book that I would just be confused if I started the second XD
