Now.
I haven’t been using reading trackers for the last 10 years (more like 7)… and even now I am awful at remembering to update them.
One of my new year goals is to write mini or full reviews for the books I read before I inevitably forget it all!
BUT!
Let’s see how good my memory really is!!

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by the lovely Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl, in which readers and bloggers come together to squeal, cry and ooo ‘n’ aaa at books.

2017
Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch
I remember this one pretty good because it was my first ever book purchase for myself!! I was about to finish 6th Form and about to lose access to my school library! THE HORROR!
So, in I went to Waterstones with my birthday money and grabbed the first two books of this trilogy (and then sobbed horribly because the second book had JUST been released and I had to wait a whole year for the next one).

2018
Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard
I was OBSESSED with this book when I got my hands on it! I read the first three books of this series like I was in a frenzy… yet…. I still haven’t read the last book….

2019
Angelfall by Susan Ee
This was my bread and butter when it came to the great dystopia boom of YA!

2020
The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden
I binge read this trilogy and was captivated by it’s rich storytelling and folklore!

2021
The Illuminae Files by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
When I say I formed a whole new identity around this trilogy, I mean… COMPLETE DEVOTIONAL SHIFT!
As soon as I finished reading the books… Sobbed. Was about to pick them up again. Saw people talking about how good the audiobooks for this trilogy are. 👀👀
Purchased the audiobooks!
I can now listen to them EVERYWHERE ALL THE TIME!

I actually haven’t read them in a while… I will change that soon!

2022
My In-Laws Are Obsessed With Me by Han Yun Seol & Seungu (illustrator)
I discovered this webcomic in 2022 and since then have reread it 8 times! Every time a new episode is released I have to resist the urge to go back to the beginning!

2023
A Witches Guide To Fake Dating a Demon by Sarah Hawley
I picked this up as a palate cleanser between fantasy books. I wanted something cutesy and this delivered! Very good magical little town vibes! I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it!

2026 So Far!!
All Systems Red (Murderbot Diaries #1) by Martha Wells
I have absolutely fallen in love with this series. I’m currently on book 5 and I will likely consume the whole series by the end of the month!
Blood Over Bright Haven by M. L .Wang
I couldn’t just pick one!!!! Please. Nobody ask me to pick between these two… I couldn’t do it…
But this book was phenomenal! It is equal parts lyrical and beautiful as it is haunting. I certainly can’t stop thinking about it!

Did I skip over 2024 and 2025 because my brain just farted no matter how hard I tried to think??? Yeahhhhhh.
What books were your favourites across the years?? Were any of them milestones in your life as a reader???

You mentioned so many books that I’ve loved too! Esp The Bear and the Nightingale and Blood Over Bright Haven. Such great books.
Also, did you recall all of these from MEMORY?? I would not be able to do that haha, all the book dates would be mashed together in my head after a couple of years.
My TTT if you’re interested 🙂

We both have a Sara Raasch book on our list, but a different series! I still need to continue reading Snow Like Ashes though, I only read the first book. I also read several of your other picks, mainly the 2018, 2020 and 2021 ones.
