We all have a selection of books/authors that have us devoted. Our souls have warped around them in a possessive bind. Enchanted by them. One might even say… Enthralled.

I genuinely feel like a lot of the time I use the Top Ten Tuesday meme to just squeal about the same books over and over again! XD
AND I WON’T BE STOPPING ANYTIME SOON!!!! MWHAHAHAHAHA!!
I’m not going to look at my last few posts to confirm whether or not every list has the same books on them…
INSTEAD!
What I’m going to do instead is list 6 of my favourite books by my favourite authors and then list 4 authors that I KNOW will be favourites!
Either because I’ve started reading their work and am already a devotee to all that they may conjure, OR, because I’ve seen the vibe their works seem to follow and I am all about it already!

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by the lovely Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl, in which readers and bloggers come together to squeal, cry and ooo ‘n’ aaa at books.

My Favourites!
Margaret Rogerson
I picked up An Enchantment of Ravens for 3 reasons: 1) There were rave reviews from my trusted sources, 2) THAT COVER IS GORGEOUS!!!! 3) Standalone fantasy…

And I am so SO glad that I did! I’m not even kidding when I these books moulded my soul and life into something that was so much more comfortable for me to live with. Even tough there’s conflict and anguish in these books there’s this soft, gentle and downright hopeful quality to them that I need in my life 24/7!
Every time I see she’s got another book coming out I already love it. “But there isn’t any information about it at all???” DON’T NEED IT! ALREADY IN LOVE!
Also… I couldn’t pick a fave between these two… I love them both so much!

Maggie Stiefvater
I thought I was an exclusively fantasy devouring girly. Turns out! I straight up ADORE magical realism too! Especially when it’s written by Maggie Stiefvater!
I devoured The Raven Cycle Quartet so fast! I might as well have been consumed by the sentient moss tbh.
Maggie Stiefvater writes such whimsy into her worlds that I can’t help but show up excited to visit them!

Holly Black
I’ve spoken about how I love Holly Black’s works in the faerie/folklore department. About how much I vibe with how fun and wickedly whimsical they are. I loved The Cruel Prince trilogy (haven’t read the spin off series yet!!! BUT I SWEAR IT’S ON THE LIST!!! the long… never ending scroll of a list…) but I think my favourite was The Darkest Part of the Forest!
It was short and sweet and had everything anyone could want in a book! It was exciting, cosy and romantic! Top tier vibes beginning to end!

Amie Kaufman + Jay Kristoff DUO
NOW!
Have I read any of the authors separate works? NO!
Do I plan on reading some of the authors separate works? YES I DO!
WHEN WILL I READ THE AUTHORS SEPARATE WORKS???

THEY’RE ON THE LIST I SWEAR!!!!!
Illuminae was… how do you say, super-ultra-amazing-everything I’ve ever wanted-brilliant-masterpiece in one word??
Ah! Yes!
PERFECTION!
This trilogy checked all the boxes for me! To be honest, it was checking boxes I didn’t even know I had!
You best believe that I’ll be front and centre to sing this author duo’s praises!

Sabaa Tahir
I haven’t finished this series YET! But I loved the first two books so much that I just know I’m going to have this series on an all time favourites shelf when I’m done!
I loved the writing style, I feel like it flowed so well with the story and, indeed with me! I follow Sabaa Tahir on the Insta and her content comes up at the top of my feed and I’m so glad it does. I don’t know how to explain it, but you know when you see someone, and listen to them, and you just know that they are your kind of people??
I haven’t read her work outside of the Ember in the Ashes series, but she is definitely a favourite author! I won’t be surprised if I love all her other work as well!

M. L. Wang
I recently finished Blood over Bright Haven! Immediate favourite! I loved and I mean LOVED Sciona as a main character! Such a powerful character, dedicated wholly to her craft and yet not blinded by it!
The ending genuinely had me sobbing. Like, really going for it kind of sobbing.

The emotional anguish asideeeee!
M. L. Wang is on my list of authors to watch going forward! Already they’ve got me ready cry again. I’d pay good money to be made an emotional wreck by them again…

Destined To Join My Favourites Club
Rachel Gillig
My trusted sources that I stalk follow in the book’o’sphere have given some great reviews for this one, and they have yet to let me down!
Even though I haven’t read any of this authors works before, I can honestly say I think they will be an all time favourite! All their books sound like my kind of party!

Rebecca Ross
I’ve seen such beautiful book art and all the gorgeous quotes that I already know Divine Rivals might knock me over
Just by what I’ve seen other readers say about her work, I know I’m going to be among those that fall in love with it!

Andy Weir
I LOVE The Martian movie so much! I think I’ve watched it a total of 3 times in the last 2 months! It is so good! Easily on my favourite movies list!
I love how witty and smart the movie is and apparently the book is DOUBLE that! So here I am. Knowing I’m going to love it, but don’t have my hand on a copy yet…
I really want to see Project Hail Mary, BUT I am determined to read the book first!

Robin Hobb
Rave reviews from every which way for this series and I’m already warming up my voice to join the choir!
I am so ready to dive into this series and not return. I’ve got a few weeks off work for my birthday and I might just treat myself to physical copies of this series and lock myself away!

What are your favourite books that your favourite author has written??? Are there any books glaring at you from your TBR pile that you know are likely going to be favourites??

I need Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff to team up again!

Great list! I’m in the same boat with a lot of authors – I found a book or series of theirs that I loved, but haven’t managed to read any of the other things they’ve written.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.

While I haven’t read any of these authors, I have heard good things about several of them. I hope your correct about the final few becoming new favorites.

I also just keep repeating the same books over and over – it’s been especially bad doing the Wyrd and Wonder prompts this month (Ilona Andrews becomes my answer for everything) and it makes me think I need to read more books, even though I’m already reading tons!
I hope you love both The Martian and Project Hail Mary!

So many favorite authors:
TBR pile- “Death on the Nile” (Agatha Christie still hasn’t failed me); that is the easiest one to think of

OOooo, a classic! I read Death on the Nile so long ago that my brain has wiped it from my memory, I do remember enjoying it though! Which does mean it might be time for a reread!!!

Yeah, I think I talk about the same books a lot for TTT topics as well. I can only read new stuff so fast. 😂
