Good day to you my friends! I hope you’re all having a wonderful day!!
Friendly reminder that if you are living somewhere where the temperatures are dropping like my productivity (HAHAHAhaaha), then don’t forget to wrap up warm! And if you live somewhere where the temperatures are rising, then make sure you drink plenty of water and stay cool!
Today’s top ten Tuesday prompt is “Winter TBR”, and I’m sure I’m not alone when I say… I am terrible at sticking to TBR’s.
Like, really bad.
Let’s take a look at the books last year me, said that this year me would read (how innocent of me… what was I thinking setting a tbr so ambitious??) :
(Links will take you to Goodreads so that you can add them to your TBRs too!)
- To Kill a Kingdom by Alexandra Christo (Read!)
- The Darkest Part of the Forest by Holly Black (Read!)
- Lament by Maggie Stiefvater (Read! [My Review])
- Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor
- Wintersong by S. Jae – Jones
- Frostblood by Elly Blake
- Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare
- A Promise of Fire by Amanda Bouchett (Read!)
- Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo
- Muse of Nightmares by Laini Taylor
- Turtles All the Way Down by John Green
I. Read. Four.
Which is better than none I suppose. But four?? And I only reviewed one?!?!?!!?
Any whoooooo! I do have smol reading plans for December and I kind of have a smol list I want to get through in January. So. WINTER TBR!!!
(Once again, clicking on the book covers will take you to their Goodreads pages! Any sequels will be linked to the first book to avoid spoilers!)
December 2019 Reading Plans!
Naturally, because it is the festive season, I won’t be able to get much reading done. I will be spending a lot of time with family, but that doesn’t mean I won’t get any reading done!
Before the end of the year, I would like to finish The Folk of the Air trilogy by Holly Black!
It is still a little bit of a challenge as it depends on how much spare time I’ll have for reading. But I think I can achieve this!!
January 2020 Reading Plans!
In January I would like to get to these books as soon as possible:
And if I feel ambitious, or just want to rebel against my set plans, I might get round to:
What are your plans for Christmas if you celebrate?? What are you planning on reading?? Are you good at sticking to TBRs?? Have you planned ahead your reading??
Great list! I sadly wasn’t the biggest fan of Turtles All the Way Down.

Thank you!! Nawww, that’s a shame. I still haven’t read it yet… I haven’t exactly been reaching for it, but I heard there’s OCD rep so I was going to give it a go for that.

I am TERRIBLE at sticking to TBRs, but I love making them! I read Wintersonga couple of years ago and really enjoyed it! I haven’t read any of the others yet, but they all sound amazing! Happy Reading! 🙂

I like making TBRs too! I like being organised in just about all things, and the fact that I can’t successfully follow a set TBR is so SAAAAAAAAD!!! Oooo! I’m glad you enjoyed Wintersong, I read some mixed reviews, but I’m always eager to get my hands on anything music related! And this one has music and goblins sooooo, I’M SO READY!!
Happy Reading!! ❤

I may have heard that once or twice 😉
I think I’m gonna read DoSaB after I finish The Cruel Prince trilogy! I’m in the mood for some good trilogies!
Thank you! Good luck with yours! ❤

I hope this winter goes better than your last TBR. I think you’ve got it. You’ve got some good books on the list.

Me too! I think next year I am definitely going to try to schedule reading time, because I feel like I have almost no time to actually read! I hope I love these books, I’m loving The Cruel Prince so far!! ❤

I didn’t do well with my autumn TBR either. I hope we both catch up this winter.

I didn’t love it, but I did like the magic system and the world! I just didn’t particularly like the way the two main characters interacted?? But I really liked the inclusion of the Greek gods and, once again, the magic!
